Configuration around actual operating conditions
A process crane is part of the production step rather than general-purpose handling. Cycle time, positioning, redundancy, temperature, dust, chemical exposure, operator interface and line automation become design inputs.
Motion profiles, braking, sway, collision risks, safe zones, emergency scenarios and maintenance access are reviewed through process risk assessment. Encoders, load measurement, positioning, PLC communication or special attachments may be considered where justified.
Final capacity, structural loads, duty class, speeds, braking, limits, power supply and site interfaces are confirmed through approved engineering.
