Configuration around actual operating conditions
An underslung crane travels below the runway on a suitable supporting structure. It may be considered where floor space must remain clear or an existing roof structure is used.
Suspension points, connections, runway stiffness, lateral loads, wheel loads and structural suitability require calculation and site verification. Span, overhangs, hook approach, power supply and maintenance access are configured for the project.
Final capacity, structural loads, duty class, speeds, braking, limits, power supply and site interfaces are confirmed through approved engineering.
